Explore my enchanting children's book crafted especially for youngsters aged 2-8, fostering understanding and empathy for those with allergies. At Allergic Like Me, I have a children's book that resonates with young readers, particularly those navigating the complexities of allergies. My story is more than just a tale; it is a tool that sparks dialogue and understanding among children, parents, and educators. The book is thoughtfully written and beautifully illustrated to engage children aged 2-8, offering both entertainment and education. Being the mother of an allergic child, I understand that children with allergies often feel different. This book is a tool for parents' discussion with young children on managing their allergy. It is also useful in school to create understanding from other student to foster a community where empathy and knowledge about allergies is cultivated. Having dealt with food allergies with my own child, the book reviews my own experiences over time and gives parents ideas for creative substitutions. Your kids will love reading, "It's ok to be allergic like me!"
Review:
I purchased your book for my toddler who has multiple food allergies. She comes to me multiple times a day and asks to read Allergic! When she gets to the end she shouts out "it's ok to be allergic like me" as if she is cheering herself on! Thank you for this wonderful story that helps to add a boost of confidence to our days! -- Karen M, mother of allergic child.
“This book is wonderful tool, to help your child feel seen and understood in a world that's often challenging for kids with allergies. A rhyming book, it's ok to be allergic like me, presents situations kids may encounter and solutions to make kids feel included.”

About the Author
Michelle Meyer-Devlin is the mother of two, her first being as a severely allergic child. At age 9 months, her daughter went into anaphylactic shock from ingesting dairy products. After managing the allergy for many years, it became clear there were no books for young children with food allergies. Drawing from her own experiences on holidays and at school functions, "allergic like me" was born. Michelle is also a retired sales executive from AT&T (32 years) and enjoys tennis, golf and pickleball. Her sister-in-law, Heather Hug, a talented artist who resides in Chicago, provided the wonderful illustrations!
